They don't know for sure what Fay is going to do. The worst of the storm should go by us this evening, but now they say that Fay has stopped and might not go out to the ocean this evening. It was expected to leave land in the Cocoa area. There is a high pressure area in Georgia and that might turn Fay back into Florida. Now they are warning us of heavy flooding. I give up...it will be gone when it is gone!  I'm snug as a bug in a rug so I don't care.
Tornadoes are still a big threat. There have been a couple South of us; causing major damage. They think we will have the winds
until Thursday.

I am happy to report that the worst is over. There is NO damage to any of the homes. We have leaves and palm fronds all over the park. The waterfront did not do as well. The fish cleaning dock will need major repairs. The main dock has some deck boards missing. I found them and they will be fastened down after the water level recedes. The water is about 3 inches from going over the concrete walks. Mike's sail boat broke loose from it's mooring and is resting in shallow water South of Dale & Sally's house. Unfortunately Rick's sail boat broke loose and is resting on the bottom in front of Skidmore's house.
We are expecting more rain. I am going to start
a page 3 with photos from today.

Fay is moving around 3 mph. We are in the center of Fay...no rain, no wind...nothing, but that is about to change. We are suppose to get a lot more rain and some wind. They say will will get a record amount of rain - around 30 inches.

It won't go away

The boat docks are all totally under water. The water is just ready to cover the main dock. One palm tree is down, just missing one of the swings.
Rick, who owns the sailboat that sank, lost about a quarter of his roof. His home is the first one on the left as you enter the park.
Looks like a fascia board came off the club house. It was raining too hard for me to go and get a close look.
Water from the river is almost up to Sandy's house, covering the road. You can still drive through it.
I am going to start a page 4 for more photos. I'll take them as soon as the rain lets up for a minute or two.
We are getting a record amount of rain - around 30 inches and still counting. We will stay in rain and wind for quite awhile even if Fay turns and goes West. They just said on TV that we can expect the flood conditions to last till Friday.
I am worried about trees being up rooted because the ground is totally saturated.
I have the curtains down in my golf cart, but I am still getting wet. The wind blows the rain through any and all openings.
8/21/08 - Thursday 6:00PM
Just when I thought Fay blew town (a little hurricane humor), we get hit with another wind and rain storm wave; it is happening right now. This probably will be my last entry unless something big happens.
All in all we were lucky getting only minor damage. I am concerned that we might get some trees blowing over because the ground is so water logged. We lost 3 palm trees that I know of. I am also concerned that the wind will shift back to the East. High waves with the docks being underwater would prove very damaging. TV just said that we got 24 inches of rain.
8/21/08 - Thursday 7:00 AM
I did not think I would be making another entry on this page, but Fay is still with us and will be for at least another day. The wind blew real
hard last night with sheets of rain.
I am going to go to the river now...I expect the river to be over the docks. I hope I am wrong. Stay tuned!!!!
8/22/08 - Friday 4:00PM
I thought my last entry was going to be the "Last." I have never seen the water this high and thought I would do "ONE" more page of photos. This is it!!!
